Two-year
Clinical Toxicology Residency-Fellowship Training for PharmD's
The clinical/medical toxicology faculty offer a
2 year residency-fellowship training experience in Clinical
Toxicology and Emergency Medicine. Our two positions are
staggered each year with one first year and one second year
fellow in training. This program is specifically for
PharmD graduates who have a significant interest in Toxicology
and Emergency Medicine. Although all new PharmD graduates
are welcome to apply, those PharmD's with one or more years of
general/specialty residency are given preference during the
selection process.
Deadline for application is January 10 for
July admission the same year. The application packet
must include:
-
Completed application (Download
Application)
-
Current transcript from your college mailed
directly to Poison Center
-
Three letters of recommendation (at least two
obtained from college professors/preceptors) using supplied
template (Download
Letter of Recommendation template)
-
A personal letter of interest from the
applicant stating reasons for quest in residency, long term
goals and why you should be considered for this position.
Applications will be reviewed and some
applicants are invited to attend an onsite, two-day interview.
This program does not participate in the ASHP Residency Match
program. However, our decision is often made prior to the
deadline imposed for acceptance in the ASHP Match.
